Description

The Warp 360 by Compass Model is a 450-sized helicopter that was released in the fall of 2012. The kit was designed to be the most innovative 350mm (main blade length) helicopter on the market at the time featuring a 4S or 6S motor option, dual belt drive system (one drive belt and one tail belt), a stock flybarless setup, and an all carbon/aluminum rigid head design with no spindle shaft.

Kit Features:

  • The head design uses an all aluminum and carbon fiber combo -- structural head components are aluminum and main blade grips are carbon fiber.
  • The head is a fully-rigid design without a traditional spindle shaft. Instead, the Warp 360 uses a hub, much like those found on the tail output shafts on most smaller helicopters.
  • The head is designed to have the thrust bearing placed between the two radial bearings.
  • Landing gear can be changed out by simply loosening the gear screws, you don't have to pull all four screws out to remove a broken set of landing gear.
  • Double belt system consists of a drive belt and a tail drive belt. The design provides two tensioners on the tail belt and a single belt tensioner on the drive belt.
  • The tail servo mounts inside the frame below the main drive gear for a compact CG, not on the tail.
  • No tail boom supports but the tail tube is larger diameter than most other 450-size helis to handle the bending forces.
  • Tail assembly uses sturdy plastic blade grips with large diameter radial bearings but no thrust bearings (as is common on most 450s).
  • Manual comes on a thumb drive.
