Brand Overview

The SIG brand of RC hobby products is owned and managed by SIG Manufactruing Company of Montezuma, Iowa, USA.  The products are designed and manufactured at the comapany's 80,000 square foot Iowa facilitiy and distributed through SIG Manufacturing's vast lineup of online and walk-in retailers around the world.

SIG branded products are not limited to RC products.  The SIG brand contains balsa wood free-flight kits, which are airplane kits that are powered by rubber-band or a simple toss by the pilot, and control link kits.

As related to RC, the SIG brand is made up of a very large amount of balsa wood RC airplanes that include kits that the hobbyiest must assemble from scratch, or ARF's (almost ready to fly kits) that come pre-built requiring only a small level of completion.

SIG kits include everything from trainer airplanes like the SIG Kadet, to sport models like the 4 Star and Hog Bipe, to scale models such as the J-3 cub, Smith MiniPlane, and 1909 Antionette, to sailplanes like the Riser an Ninja.  The kits are generally of balsa construction with a variety SIG manufactured plastic or metal parts.
