Brand Overview

Synergy (a.k.a Synergy R/C Helicopters) is a brand of remote control helicopters that is owned and managed by Botos Design & Distribution Company of Kennesaw, Georgia in the USA.

The brand made its original RC industry debut in 2006 with the introduction of the Synergy N9, a 90-size nitro-powered RC heli. The brand, at the time, was owned and managed by Synergy RC Helicopter Company and the design work on the company's products had been shared by popular RC heli industry designers Jason Krauss and Todd Bennett.

Following the death of company founder Stephen Fan in an auto racing accident, the Synergy brand was acquired by Matt Botos in 2010, who was the current lead designer and a team pilot. Matt had been working with Synergy from the early days as a team pilot and later as the replacement for Krauss and Bennett in the design role. Matt played the lead role in the development of the brand's Synergy N5, 55-size nitro-powered helicopter as well as the development of the second generation N9, the subsequent version of the original N9.

Today the brand consists of two main nitro-powered helicopters, the N9 and the N5 described above. Also available is an "E" conversion kit for the N9 to convert it from nitro power to electric power, the E9. Included in the kit are frames, motor mount, side motor mount bracing, and upper bearing block.

Synergy branded kits are available for retail purchase at online stores in the US, the UK, and Australia. The list of distributors can be found on the Synergy RC Helicopters website (
